Lynnwood firefighters in the pink to fight cancer

We love hearing stories like this one: Lynwood firefighters are wearing pink to support the fight against breast cancer.

Lynnwood firefighters are looking a little rosy this month.

They’re donning new shirts in a shade best described as “Pepto-Bismol pink’’ to support
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The shirts aren’t just a fashion statement, said Christine McCroskey, a firefighter and paramedic with the
Lynnwood Fire Department. The firefighters use the shirts as icebreakers to get people talking about breast cancer and early detection.
